Jewelry Care
How to care for your jewelry.
CARE TIPS
All pieces are crafted by hand from raw materials. Most of the pieces are made with 935 silver, known as Argentium sterling silver, 93.5% of pure silver, and 6.5% of other metals which makes them more tarnish-resistant. We also use 925 silver, known as sterling silver, 92.5% of pure silver, and 7.5% of other metals. It will tarnish naturally over time but can be cleaned easily using a silver polishing cloth. Special care should be taken with oxidized (black) jewelry since the finish can come off with anything abrasive. Avoid contact with chemicals, cleaners, perfume, hairspray, lotions, chlorine, and salt water. Avoid wearing silver jewelry in a pool or hot tub. Polish your jewelry often and keep it clean. A good rule to follow: jewelry comes on last and comes off first. All jewelry naturally accumulates a sense of wear and a change in color over time, depending on body chemistry, daily care, and exposure to natural elements. Store sterling silver jewelry in a dry, airtight space when not in use. A small plastic bag works great. To prevent scratches, each piece should be stored separately.
